  • Utility Resilience, Risk, Preparedness and Cybersecurity
  • Water Conservation, Efficiency, and Water Loss
  • Water Education and Workforce
  • Water Quality and Contaminants
  • Water Supplies
  • Water Treatment

Special Topic Session

Special Topic Sessions have the following time slots:
  • ½ Session (1.5 hours)
  • Full-Session (3 hours)

Special Topic Session coordinators are encouraged to include more interactive learning opportunities than for normal technical sessions.

Suggested activities include:

    ✔ Small group discussions

    ✔ Problem-solving scenarios

    ✔ Panel discussions

    ✔ Analyzing and/or evaluating a case study

    ✔ Creating an action plan for implementing a solution

As a Special Topic coordinator, you are required to obtain and submit these materials for your speakers:
  • The agenda for the entire session
  • Complete biographies for all presenters
  • AWWA Creative Commons Release Forms
  • Proceeding materials
Portions of the information will be used in the printed and/or online program. Ensure information is complete and accurately portrays the session to attendees.
